There are 9,415 homes currently for sale today (up from 8,914 last week) in the greater Hampton Roads area. This area consists of Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Newport News, Hampton, and Poquoson. Prices are ranging from a low of $14,000.00 in Suffolk to a high of $6,000,000.00 in Virginia Beach so there is something for every search and pocketbook.

Of the 9,415 homes, 3,903 are "bank owned" homes (6 less than last week) and many of these can be remarkable bargains. Prices range from $9,900 in Newport News to $2,990,000.00 in Virginia Beach.

Interest rates, according to one lender, are ranging between 3.75% and 4.50% with closing costs often being paid by the seller. Inventories are slightly greater than last week so there are even more homes to choose from!
